Ah, so you have found the next page! I sometimes have the feeling that I was born too late. There's so much I would like to have experienced first-hand. But here I am, and I just have to do with my own memories. Now you are here, let me tell you some more about myself.
I cannot explain my fascination for objects like vintage flight jackets but I bought a jacket vaguely resembling a flight jacket from my first pay in 1980. In 2002 I became quite ill and found some distraction in participating in several flight jacket forums. I learned quite a lot and now am able to recognize all AAF and USAF flight jackets from 1938 to 1956. This is also the period I'm the most interested in.
Mechanical watches, fine food and drink, cooking and modern history and politics also belong to the core of my interests. I'm on a neverending quest to find the ultimate Dry Martini and I'm very, very close.
All this wouldn't be possible without the support of my wife and best friend Anne. Without her I would be lost and together we have fought and won many a heavy battle. We are grateful to be still healthy.
